will remain in the ownership of the power plant after its completion.
At this stage, totally 120 persons are employed, with big majority of locals, 80 %. There are pulled out access roads to dam and dam site and substation. Simultaneously, additional geological surveys are undergoing.
The main construction works will start in spring of 2017, and stage by stage, more than 400 locals will be employed.
The Project comprises the development, construction and operation of Nenskra Hydro Power Plant with c. 280 MW of installed capacity and expected electricity output of 1,196 GWh assuming 50% load factor. The Project represents a significant infrastructural priority for the country and benefits of the highest support from the Government of Georgia (“GoG”).
