On 13th of June 2016, the meeting with the representatives of NGO (“Green Alternative”) was held in JSC NH office, Tbilisi, Georgia.
There were discussed important issues related to Nenskra Hydro Power Project. NGO representatives were interested if the project construction meets EU standards, who is Salini Impregilo, and the resettlement issue.
JSC NH stated that the project is working according to the international standards and as soon as new geological and social researches will be done the relevant information will be public.
Salini Impregilo is one of the most experienced companies in the world. It is the EPC Contractor of JSC Nenskra Hydro. Salini Impregilo also takes part in Social issues of the project and participates in communication with Chuberi villagers.
JSC NH is actively cooperating with the Georgian Government regarding the resettlement issue.
The Project comprises the development, construction and operation of Nenskra Hydro Power Plant with c. 280 MW of installed capacity and expected electricity output of 1,196 GWh assuming 50% load factor. The Project represents a significant infrastructural priority for the country and benefits of the highest support from the Government of Georgia (“GoG”).
